TIK Terminal

The TIK terminal is a simple time and attendance recorder which records and timestamps events. With additional modules, it becomes a comprehensive time and attendance management system. |
It is a wall-mounted or desktop electronic terminal equipped with an RFID scanner and (optionally) an EKEY fingerprint scanner, which provides users (employees) a simple interface for recording working time, access control and electronic work order management.
As a time and attendance recorder, it records arrivals, departures, departures for lunch, business departures, displays data on the monthly attendance of individuals, leave status, controls access to the business premises, and, with its additional modules, becomes an indispensable tool for every human resources department.
Due to the need to provide higher and higher quality of services, the price of work on the market is constantly increasing, making it necessary to have an overview and control over the attendance of employees; having control over projects (the amount of work done, time consumed and, most importantly, the costs) even more so.

registration
Personnel with years of experience can still remember the mechanical working time registration devices which recorded employee’s times of arrival and departures and caused many a grey hair during salary calculation at the end of report periods.
Salary calculation became much easier upon the introduction of electronic devices, as there were new working time registration tools available on the market. One such tool is the TIK Terminal, a product of Epiko d.o.o., with its WORKING TIME core module, which records events and creates an event database used for calculating working time, and its EXPORT module, one of the additional modules, which enables exporting data for salary calculation to external business systems.
attendance
Attendance records are not only an essential part of any information system used for human resource management; monitoring employees’ attendance, as stipulated by the Labour and Social Security Registers Act (ZEPDSV – Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, no. 40/2006), is an obligation of every employee.
The TIK terminal enables progressive, simple, comprehensive and efficient management of employee attendance records. The recorded employee data also provides other options, such as checking current attendance or checking attendance for any period in the past. The information on the status of attendance can serve as the basis for conducting many types of analyses which enable data processing for HR purposes and help us find potentials for work cost savings.
access control
Access control is recorded and managed through the TIK Terminal, which is connected to an electronic lock (TIKON module). There are multiple choices of identification modules – an independent RFID contactless card scanner, an independent ekey fingerprint scanner or the TIK terminal with its own scanner. After a user is identified, the TIK terminal checks if they have the necessary privileges to access a certain room, and only then enables access to the locked room. Access privileges for rooms can also be time-limited, meaning that certain rooms are accessible only at certain times or only during a certain period of time.

The TIK terminal’s core package includes the WORKING TIME Module, the TIKS Module, the TIKAdmin Module and an RFID contactless card scanner; its functionality is restricted in terms of the number of users and administrators (more information in the PACKAGES table). In addition to the core package for working time registration, we have developed additional modules and added the option of fingerprint identification, resulting in an efficient personnel information system providing comprehensive working time management for companies.
